The biggest malady of the modern society is the growing incidence
of overweight among the children at a very young age. This has raised concerns among
many health experts, who are not only relentlessly trying to find reasons responsible
for this trend, and study the impact it would have on the future of human society,
but also striving to locate appropriate measures that could help in eradicating
this ailment.
The most prominent of the reasons which lead to such health
conditions are the changed lifestyles and eating habits. Nowadays, the young
ones spend too much time before the computers, and avoid participating in outdoor
activities. Besides, foregoing the need to burn calories in physical activities,
the kids are increasingly getting addicted to the fast food culture. The content
of their regular diet is fast changing as the intake of calorie rich food had risen
dramatically.

children. Being overweight adversely affects the mental and physical development
of the young ones. Today, the kids have become lethargic, and they tend to

like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart ailments, etc.. This situation can
have serious implications on the health of the future generations.
