Ielts Essay - Subjects to Study

With education gaining more prominence in the professional life of an average human being and specialization factor becoming more paramount, people have started thinking that it would be better for pupils to focus only on areas that they are interested in, while others feel that academic pursual is must in all subjects that academic institutions impart.

Pursuing only those disciplines towards which pupils have more inclination than other fields will enable them to grab and perfect and sharpen their skills in fields of interest and infact it would help them in their professional endeavors later in life as adults.

Moreover, learning a discipline that fails to create enthusiasm in certain students can often prove to be a sheer waste of time and counter productive as the students often have to deal with an extra burden of learning those skills which may not be required by them. It also happens to distract them and often lead to a situation where they loose interest in academic pursuals altogether.

On the contrary, some sections strongly defend the arrangement of education in its present format of being delivered in form of different and diverse subjects as they think that academic endeavor should not mean bounding the premise of learning to an area merely on basis of interest and enthusiasm among students. They feel that people need to acquire multi-dimensional skills to be able to take well informed decisions. This would also help them in developing rational approach towards life.

In conclusion, I vouch for multi subject curriculum and not limiting academic pursuit to only those domains where pupils feel that they have stronger understanding as adopting a selective approach in choosing subjects can severely hinder overall personality development and also kill the attitude to grab more knowledge. Ielts Private or Govt R&D

Private participation is seeping into every walk of public life and infact today this factor prominently features in all new research initiative being established by governments world over even ones with objectives that include humane purpose. As an impact, people have started raising doubts about the sanctity of the mission as they feel that the private enterprise is more inclined towards profits and research is an area that needs an input of selfless service. This creates a clash of interests thus proving disadvantageous for society. But this phenomenon has some really noticeable benefits that must never be ignored.

One essential reason that can be cited for increasing private participation is requirement of one critical component i.e. huge amount of funds required to finance various large scale projects that explore into endeavors for benefit of society.

Besides having essential funds, private enterprise is driven by objectives of earning profits that incites the companies to innovate and employ extensive means to accomplish these goals. This also creates opportunities for employment of highly qualified professionals in their occupational premise. These factors compiled together help in ensuring long term planning for running research based initiatives that often require long gestation periods before final realization of research goals.

On contrary, research initiatives of private enterprise are often influenced by selfish motives of private individuals who can use research activities for their own selfish ends, thereby reducing effectivity and efficiency of research being pursued and many times results are prematurely promoted as final accomplishments, which hamper the very relevance and spirit of exploration.

But whatever may be the case, I personally feel that privately led research establishments can prove more feasible in long term as they have all elements of innovation and dynamism. - Ielts Essay

Ielts Essay - Transport Private or Public

With mobility topping the priorities of average household, more and more people are inclined to possessing a personal transport in form of a two or a four wheelers. This has generated a sizeable turnover for automobile companies which are out to encash the perceptions of benefits of people over the public transportation mediums.

The biggest advantage often cited by travelers who prefer using personal transport instead of public medium is unprecedented mobility. People have all the flexibility of time and convenience at their disposal and they are able to move around freely without having to rely on the time table prone schedule of buses and trains and also without facing the mood swings and awkward behavior of cab drivers. Their own personal transportation means makes them master of their own will and they can go anywhere as per their wishes.

Moreover, people preferring private medium of transportation also means reducing public expenditure of the governments. The government is relieved of a major social initiative of providing subsidized public amenities of transport to people and it can use the funds in other more critical and essential areas. The expansion of private modes by the people also enhances opportunities for raising money by means of levies and taxes on private transport.

On the contrary, many enumerate some serious drawbacks of  increasing preference for use of personal means of transportation has led to creation of traffic jams and snarls. Society today face a more severe problem of rising pollution due to the extensive use of fossil fuel by these individual mobility modes.

In my opinion an increasing preference for personalized use of transport is leading to creation of multiple problems. These demerits surely dwarf the advantages that a car or motorcycle could generate for the masses.

Ielts Essay on Development and traditions

With a race ensuing for progress, every nation on the planet earth has been pursuing developmental objectives. This even though has created apprehensions about this pursuit casting unholy shadow on the culture and ways of life. There are pros and cons associated with progress, but progress has more vouching for it.

The dynamics of enhancement in the economic productivity generates fresh venues for a better and a healthy society that is more aware of its social structure, while those choosing to remain confined to age-old traditions and values often succumb because of rigid values. It has been historically established that countries having higher standard of living stand better chances of preserving their beliefs, and instead propagating, them across the world, as has been seen and experienced in case of USA.

Moreover, it is only the progress that can create resources for preservation of rituals and traditional thought process; all venues and corners of a developing economy witness a parallel and simultaneous upheaval. To corroborate, a country like Japan which is known for its age old traditions has developed and sustained its customs successfully, and today, more and more Japanese are inclined to their cultural thinking.

Having said that, despite fetching numerous rewards, the skepticals are often seen expressing fears – even though they are unfounded - their cultures being invaded and turned into irrelevant by the progress. They often cite instances of people, especially the young, getting detached from the indigenous customs and succumbing to lifestyles that are deemed unsuitable in specific social perspectives.

In conclusion, by engendering diverse mechanism to preserve traditional practices, the striving for prosperity certainly helps drive in more merits than pitfalls; thus, I would rather emphasize that development has enormous benefits that cannot be side-lined in the name of preserving traditions.

Some say that if anyone would be given a choice between ‘not working’ and ‘working most of the time’, they would choose not to work. Do you agree or disagree? - Ielts Essay answers

Some say that if anyone would be given a choice between ‘not working’ and ‘working most of the time’, they would choose not to work. Do you agree or disagree?

With many developed countries offering social security to their citizens, many people have started thinking that employment has become a non essential factor as far as means earning a living is concerned. This has completely eroded their inclination to work and they want to spend their lives that are free of any kind of work routines.

Inhabitants of many prosperous countries opt for living a lifestyle that is free of any monotonous routine and compulsions of employment and work. As per them involving themselves in a life that is full of complexities and anxiety is bad idea and they are ready to support their routines with whatever minimal financial support they are provided by their governments.

Besides limiting their needs for sake of free life, many individuals do not have an inclination for taking up a job as they feel that they are not capable enough to handle the burdens and demands of a job. They feel that if they do not take up that position someone with a direr need for a job will be able top get that position.

On the other hand, for some people work is vital component of their daily routines. Monetary advantages are the one of factors that influences their craving for work but not necessarily primary aspects. These individuals pursue professional satisfaction and wish to live with a sense of achievement and accomplishment for example people involved in technical and research work always choose spending more and more time at their work so that they can achieve desired results with their intense efforts.

In my opinion, although the choice of remaining workless is an individual prerogative, this tendency is more noticeable, among a minority, in prosperous countries, while in developing nations work and jobs are critical for survival of people. Thus, this opinon cannot be upheld at all.
